Crashing every round/game in CS2 with i9-14900k and RTX 4090, any solution?
I have uninstalled everything to try only with steam and CS and neither.

Try lowering your graphic settings. My friend was crashing constantly and it helped him, he has a 14700k or 14900k paired with DDR5 and a 3080Ti. Maybe see if you're running the latest BIOS for your motherboard, seeing as your hardware is brand new. May try lowering your RAM speed a notch as suggested below as well.

Try settings:

4xMSAA
Global Shadow Quality-High
Partical Detail-Low
Ambient Occlusion-Medium
NVIDIA Reflex-Enabled

Also, maybe try setting launch options- -high +cl_forcepreload

yeah idk ive been experiencing buggy issues as well when just trying to launch the game. freezing menus, and even the menu loading but the "Counter Strike 2" splash screen not fading away.

I run:

RX 5700 XT
32 GB Ram
Ryzen 7 3700X

I have the same configuration with DDR5 7600 MHz RAM. Everything else, games, Benchmark etc worked with 7600 MHz, except CS2. Had to set the memory to 7000 MHz for CS2 to run.

Same here, this was the solution.

cl_forcepreload its not valid removed long time ago , but there is preload, but also its worse for the game -high will put priority to process - crash other things if ram problems

Has to do with for example XMP profile.
So go to the bios and put it lower by 200 at the time until you notice no crashes anymore.
I just lowered it like 200 under default speeds and it solved everything, been playing without crashes since.

I tried lowering 8xMSAA to 4xMSAA and lowering the RAM from 7200 MHz to 6600 MHz (in BIOS) and it worked :).

:allgood:

You can see that CS2 is still running/adjusted correctly. :wasted:

I don't have a high end system like you but found turning off xmp and running my ram at a lower clock speed stopped the crashing.....game is beta at best.

Im not lowering my ram speed to run this game. If that’s the best valve can do I’ll uninstall and move on.

Thanks for clearing that up, thought preload was still valid.
