Lieutenant rank 21 and Prime Status worries

Hi guys.
I levelled up to Lieutenant rank 21, however I have some worries about it.

1. CSGO has a strange XP gaining system which lets you earn xp very fast. You can win a competitive match by having skilled teammates and get somewhat 400 xp for it and if it's week start, you get +1200 as "weekly xp boost". That's already a third of a complete rank, gained by only one win. Needless to say, my skills didn't develop as fast as my rank (I'm at Silver 2).

2. With Lieutenant Rank 21, now my account is labelled as "Prime" which means I am matched with other Prime players. Likely with 5+ year old veterans with real experience and superior skills. I get rekt quite frequently.

3. Basically related to 2. Most of my friends who I play with sometimes are below 21 - I hope I can enter into Competitive matches with them still. Is Prime matchmaking only a priority and not an exclusion? Can I still get paired with below 21 players?

4. Maybe I should just put Competitive matches on hold and develop skills in Casual.

If you queue with non prime you get non prime that's it if you have any non prime players non prime it is that's all

Levels are only important for the weekly lvl-up drop and the Service Medals you can claim on Lvl40.

Be happy you have Prime now. Most cheaters don't get anywhere near Lvl21 before getting banned, so your opponent clientel has changed now.

If you lobby up with a friend without Prime your Prime get deactivated for that one lobby, and MM searches for non-Prime players only.
And when you play alone, or lobby up with Prime ppl, your Prime is activated again automatically.
