We are all waiting for this just like you. But I haven't seen any official information.

I've found a solution, but you kinda need to mess with the router settings since I assume they aren't inside your house.

*Go to windows menu and type "command prompt" open it as admin
*Type: ipconfig and look for your IPV4
*Open your router settings (it should be your default gateway also given by ipconfig)
*Type your user and password
*Look after some security settings or access control, you should find a settings called "Port Forwarding"

In my rounter provided by my ISP the developer already configured CSGO/CS2 port forwarding settings by default, but if yours didn't do it, you should open a private match, open dev console and type "status" the game should give you an IP address and a port (IP : port).

PS: when you find "Port forwarding" look for something called "Game & Apps" and check if the dev already created for some games, even if they only added for CSGO, it should work anyway. If they did, just check CSGO, add and restart the game (ignore all the next steps)

On your router Port Forwarding you should set External host as the IP given by the game, Internal Host your IPV4 and external/internal port should the the port CS2 gave you, Protocol TCP. Just add and restart the game. You should be good to go, just open google and type "what's my ip" and give the result and the port to your friends so they open console and type "connect yourpublicIP:port"

I tested with a friend and she was able to join my private server. A dude explained to me that if you had multiple routers connected, you'll have to do this to every router, but I'm not sure if any of the steps will chance, since my PC is connected directly to my ISP router.

I hope it works for you too

Yeah CSGO was much better, but at least you only have to do it once (as long as your IPV4 don't change and it's rare to happen)

It's given by your ISP when you connect to the internet, it sucks we have to do it manually tho. No regular user should have to know or do any of these things to play with friends.
