CS2 crashed and reset all my settings

I was trying to play some cs2 but then it crashed multiple times and even shut down my computer. I launched it again and it worked fine, however, it reset all my settings including video, keybinds, audio, etc.. Is there a way I can get my old settings back??

games don't cause Computers to shut down or restart by itself.

the only way your computer restart by itself are due to this

1) BSOD

claiming that CS 2 or any games on Steam Platform causes computer to restart/shut down itself is a MYTH.

happened to me too, pc just shut down while being in warmup. Boot back up and cs2 with default settings

you can make a autoexec.cfg file where you type your settings as console commands

Same here. PC shut down unexpectedly, restarted computer and all settings reset to default / autoexec config file vanished. No way to restore the file.

same happened to me, ever since an update from a month ago, starting a game in CS2 just BSOD my computer and today when it did it, it nuked my settings, and im devastated by it, i had all my settings freaking PERFECT. now everything feels wrong.

its only been doing this crashing since i got the update a month ago or so while on windows 11.... doesnt do it on windows 10

CS2 crashed and reset all my settings. Hi guys, has anyone found a solution to this problem? So the game crashes little by little, and every time it crashes, it returns all settings in cs2 to default. All drivers have been updated, even win 11 has been completely installed again. The problem still exists..

Genuinely the biggest piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game I've ever played. Buggy and laggy as ♥♥♥♥, cheaters everywhere, for the love of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god go play Valorant and stop supporting this washed company that can't even make a proper game.
