Have too 3060 12 gb and 11700F
200-300 fps and drops
Windows optimisation 100%
so are you saying windows is not optimize with cs2 ?
will be fix in next updates ?
I updated mine on a rx6800 and then set all my settings to lowest so it could rebuild cache as I play and now my frames rarely have problems at 2k res and Im able to raise the graphics.
Update your motherboard BIOS'
Install the latest intel supporting drivers
Get the latest vcredist redistributables,
Latest .net 8
What have you actually tried?
is windows windowed optimization on?
Gaming mode on or off?
what overlays do you have on? steam? nvidia? windows xbox? TRY TURN THEM OFF:
Game mode is on for everyone
What's the point of optimization in window mode?
not everyone play games on Full Screen mode.
everything is up to date
It is not about updating the drivers and etc
The point is that not only me, even those who test FPS from CS2 on YouTube with same PC get the same FPS, while CS is graphically much lower than other games And it should not give so low fps ..
If the problem was due to the driver etc., this problem should exist in all games, but only CS gives 200 fps on high settings.. This shows that the game is not optimal with low graphics. CS should give at least 300 fps in high settings and should not drop below 144 fps with this low graphics compared to other games with 12400 + 3060 12gb , 16GB ram and decent nvme SSD .
Go sysdm.cpl and setup your system correctly,
IF you have Onedrive, turn it off/ pause while you play, or remove it,
Did you get rid of microsoft bloatware you don't use?
and p.s my GTX1070 and i5 10400f is doing better than you right now; 32GB ram helps, dual channel only; could quad, but wtf, nah, ddr 4 3200Mhz running 2666 due to cpu;
upgrading BIOS last year ? or 2022 was a great help as the boards mature;' i was addicted to COD MW2 then,. and it was also smooth as butter, open world, and closed maps,. i upped my average /constant FPS by 20 with a Mobo BIOS update,
and seeing that a new generation of intel chips has surpassed us, it's most likely available for you,
lastly, windows Security, Core isolation, E-cores, the new CPU's are not windows ready, so turning it off; helps., or if you don't use/g4u, or 3rd party one [not necessary] you better make sure this game is in your exclusions if ;'; ,
=check services.msc as well if you need to really see behind the scenes what's going on with your pC,
Go to YouTube and see the fps results of same as mine , They get almost the same FPS as me
Nothing in the background is open or open enough to use up a lot of RAM, and the CS game only uses 3 or 4GB of the 16GB of RAM.BIOS is updated, if the problem was from BIOS etc naturally this problem should exist in all games
The problem is that CS2 is not optimized
and how much u get fps with which settings in which map ?
Now I have 400-450
I don’t know bro…
5800x is more powerful than 12400 so maybe that is why u got 400 500
1) open task manager
2) go to startup tab
3) disable majority of them (this will reduce windows loading time)
the 2nd suggestion
i) kindly make sure that your background programs don't do their daily tasks EVERY SINGLE DAY.
e.g anti virus program and anti malware program.
kindly set their full system scan to run twice per week when your computer is idle automatically.
these 2 programs, their full system scan will take priority over everything else as their Full System Scan will be scanning the entire computer.
it takes up computer resources and causes the computer to slow down as a result.
it even have higher priority over Games played on Steam Platform too.
done it, tested it and it shows that FPS will drop as a result.
when you playing highly demanding games that causes your CPU to make loud noises, it will mask noise and whatever it is when your anti virus program and anti malware program are running Full System Scan.
to find out,
open task manager, if you see your disk usage is 50% to 100% even with your Steam Game open
then you will know that your Anti virus and/or anti malware program is running full system scan.
----------------------------------------
i'm amaze no one take notice of it at all.
i know there are debate that anti virus program don't cause computer to be slow.
but it turns out that it does.
for computer that got 8 GB of RAM, 12 GB of RAM, 16 GB of RAM.
