There is still a wide variety of weapons which are not even the basis of what they were. This can be clearly seen in the carrying of the printstream skins which went from being highly demanded semi-holographic skins which you could see them glow in the dark with shades. pink-green and today they look like a very forgettable skin.

the awp cats and dogs (I don't know the literal translation) even changed the color and didn't even bother to repair it.

some skins used some really clever tricks in GO that don't really work well in source 2 like the printstream.
I think the skin creator himself said as of right now it would take the skin itself being remade. Valve might be iffy on that cause it would not only change how it looks in GO but at that point likely be a brand new skin made for cs2's new models.
