It just doesn't make sense to me .. it runs a lot better than CS2 for me,doesn't crash either... I don't get it how and why..
Oh and, have you been playing Alyx on the Deck or are you playing on PC with a VR Set?
Alyx cant run on Deck I think
I'm yet to replay HL1 with BM and yet to finish HL2 so I plan to get into Alyx after that.
Edit: looked it up and with a VR Headset it runs BAD. NoVR runs it good though.
remember as a vr game it only has to target a framerate of 90fps for most headsets 72 for most oculus ones at some very high resolution numbers valve index for example is 2880x1600
And if course since its a single player VR game they can push the detail a lot more.
to even get the game to run on the deck they had to drop the res down to 720p or even lower with fsr and lower the graphics settings lower than what is normally allowed.
meanwhile cs2 is a competitve shooter where for most people the minimum fps target would be 140fps to make use of a 144hz monitor
236 for 240hz
and lower the detail by a lot because players would complain about to much visual clutter.
