Why should I when it runs all my games (that I have installed) fine? This didn't happen in LT for me,but happens in Public release.
+ RX 590 is a pretty capable card today too.
Also like OP I also have a Polaris card -but a much weaker one (an rx 460), and my game still runs butter smooth till it freezes- and I also get crashes, maybe it's an AMD drivers issue.
If you don't know how to clean your pc, or you are a computer illiterate, try reinstalling your pc clean, then reinstall the latest driver one by one, reinstall steam and cs, and try again.
The funny thing is - another source 2 game that is Half-Life: Alyx - runs just fine without locking my system down,so I don't know what's up with that.
Exactly. I guarantee you that the majority of those saying the game freezes, their are bugs, lag, etc. never upgraded their PC that played CS:GO for years. Valve raised the specs to play CS2 so if you're experiencing that, it's time to upgrade your PC.

CS2 is a brand new game on a new engine that has higher minimum requirements. It's a fact that people didn't consider this and tried to play CS2 on their potato PC that used to play the 11-year-old CS:GO just fine, then come here complaining that the game is broken, doesn't work, has bugs, glitches, etc. when others, like myself, on newer PCs with great video cards, have had no issues at all with the game. It creates a false narrative when in fact, they're trying to play a new video game on an old PC.
There comes a point in PC gaming where it's inevitable you need to upgrade your PC if you want to play the newer, better games such as CS2. It's usually in the 5-10 year mark once you realize your specs just aren't able handle the demand of newer, better video games.
It's quite simple if you think about it. Everyone tries to do silly little things like restoring their machine or playing with settings they have no idea about to pretend their PCs can handle it when in fact, their hardware can't so yeah. Upgrade your PC.
8gb ram, 1gb vram, intel i5 750, those are the minium specs
i have i5 7400 (better than 750), 16gb ram (x2 the minium) and rx 590 with 8gb of vram (x8 the minium), the "upgrade your pc" argument is the dumbest thing ever created by people who dont understand anything about hardware and videogames at all
