CS2 case strike until we get reliable anti-cheat
Hey addicts, hear me out. CS premier and ranked are infested with mentally unstable neck bearded slug humans that cheat as a way to cope with not being able to look at themselves in the mirror. The ranking system is meaningless since any 15k+ elo lobby is almost guaranteed to have a cheater. The devs don't seem to care because when one (eventually) gets banned, Valve makes another $20 from them purchasing prime on their new account. Meaning Valve is profiting from cheating, so why would they crack down on one of their revenue streams? Simple answer, cheaters don't buy cases. An article from Cult MTL breaks down how much Valve rakes in from cases alone, "Divided across 641 individual days, that works out to 714,509 cases per day. Given that a case costs $2.50 to open, that means Valve are raking in up to $1,786,271.45 every day. That's $54,355,263.16 per month on average and $651,989,078.25 per year.". I don't know the amount they make from Prime purchases, but I doubt its anywhere near what they make from cases. This basically forces them to either keep leaking money or fix their game. Be honest, can you wait a couple months to unbox that Well Worn Blue Five Seven (no it's not a knife stop the lies). Best part is that once they fix the widespread cheating, you and the boys can have a fat unboxing session of the cases they give each week. As much as I hate to say it, Valorant doesn't have a cheating problem so why not copy their anti-cheat system. Stop letting Valve choose cheaters over players.
