Incorrect VAC ban
I have never cheated in any games and have no cheating software installed yet I got a VAC ban today and I have no idea why. Anyone have any ideas about something that could've set this off incorrectly? I'd be gutted to lose access to the game permanently especially given I have not knowingly done anything wrong. Is there a way to appeal or at least find out what I did/ what they think I did?

Not a VAC ban, a game ban.

When I open CS2 there is a blue banner that says VAC, and when I got kicked out of the game I was playing it said 'Disconnected: VAC banned from secure server'. WHat is the difference?

Good riddance. VAC is 99.999999999% accurate. They use their own data. If you mess with the data, you get the hammer. Good to see VAC is actually working.

People post the same thing you said every day here and because of that nobody here will believe you. Even if they did, nobody here can help you lift your ban you need to either wait for steam support to lift it or move on and make a new account.
