I got VAC banned for having debugging tools on my PC
I was playing CSGO without hacks or any modifications and I tried to go onto a Arms Race game and I am VAC banned. Please help.

29 hours and a vac ban. Did you use any third party things such as Hex editing?

On a private game, yes
Fatalizzzee Mar 12, 2016 @ 8:19pm
sv_cheats 1 has nothing to do with VAC...

No, I didn't use hexing or anything of the sort

I have cheatengine installed for debugging, but it dosen't run. Could that be it?

I called steam support, but I doubt that will do anything

Cheatengine is for hex editing. That will cause a vac ban.

That is unacceptable. It wasn't being used for CSGO.

So I have to make a new account I guess, but can I transfer my games?

Oh, cheat engine, that will be it. you are using cheat software.

What is VAC?
If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing that game on VAC-Secured servers in the future.
The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modifications to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

You cannot transfer your games, you will need another account to play CSGO however.

But it wasn't running for CSGO

Doesn't matter. You do know it has "cheat" in the name right???

So apparently you can't have debugging software for game coding and CSGO on the same computer or Valve flips out
