It's casual. And killcam does not always show things. You talk to them as well so why not spectate who you want. The only downside is if 2 friends are playing and in team speak or something and on same team

Yeah, it's really annoying knowing that someone can easily ghost. Not that I play Casual anyway. Not even in TF2 can you spectate the enemies (unless you join spectator) and that's arguably a more casual game than CS:GO. I wish Valve would just slowly make changes overtime that turn casual into unranked competetive, or at least a gamemode which more closer resembles the competitive ruleset while remaining unranked. Over varying intervals of time in order to ease players in, they could make changes such as the following:

First, they remove enemy spectating.

Second, they change Casual into 8v8.

Third, they only allow you to start with kevlar without a helmet.

Fourth, they change bomb/round timers to the old competitive timers of 2:00/0:45, as of right now it's like 2:10/0:40 for some reason, so it's pretty T sided.

Fifth, they change games to best of 20 rounds with half-times at 10 rounds. You can already leave mid-game, so I don't see how having a longer game is problematic, and this will serve to make casual more balanced and like competetive.

Sixth, they make necessary to purchase a kit in order to obtain one.

Seventh, they allow you to purchase 4 grenades.

Eighth, they remove starting armor completely.

Ninth, they increase the freeze time from 3 seconds to 5-10 seconds to allow you time to purchase armor/defuse/nades.

or.. they could just play comp
Competitive is ranked, and different in many ways to what I just proposed.

Well it would be nice to have. A short rank version as well as a couple unranked versions that resembles the ranked competitive.

Then players can play there and no crying over smurfs. Also if someone gets a cooldown they can play the unranked version as well.

I agree it would be nice to have a unranked competitive mode. I bet a lot of players would play. I don't think it would be needed to slowly do it. They can just put it there. Maybe make it half the rounds. Like best out of 16. And maybe keep it 8v8.

i would agree to have shorter unranked versions of the game with competitive matchmaking rules... shorter games sure becuase casual sucks i played a few round of solo qued comp and its way better less garbage there but that may be becaus the population of a comp game is smaller

Yeah agree. Also because then if you do need to leave for something, you don't get penalized, or if kicked or kick a player, etc.

I don't mind casual myself. But it does not fully help players who want to play competitive mode.

Assuming they don't make a new gamemode and just turn Casual into unranked comp in one fell swoop, I'd imagine it'd be jarring for some players who play casual often. I suggested incremental changes not only to ease players into the new setting, but also to see how the community reacts to each incremental change. If one day they just lower the player count, we can see how people react and how it changes casual. If only day they decide to remove mandatory helmets, we can see how it'd affect pistol rounds in a 8v8/10v10 context. Rather than introducing it all at once, it can be done incrementally to gauge reaction.

i want to play competitive but solo queing sucks because people who are teamed up will boot you for stupid reasons (granted it can happen in casual too but when you dedicated play a ranked game till the last couple rounds and get booted its really dumb)

Yeah. Not to mention you get a cooldown for it. Casual not as often. Was a while that players would boot a guy if they did not clutch. Seems to have faded out mostly. Now the guy who calls the vote gets voted. The only players I see who get kicked are those annoying players who play music, talk to much junk (cursing or calling players names etc) or those who go afk.

i think they should just take what you said and make it a different thing theres no real reason to change casual have 3 seperate ques?

This is what I was saying. Leave casual how it is. And just add a new gametype. Maybe call it unranked competitive. Or mini competitive or what ever.

i wanna play seriously but not always seriously enough to just play comp i want the comp experience but not the garbage of casual guess thats too much to ask

Agree. And not with bots. Can try to find community servers. Or if enough friends just set up a match. Even if not, can either add bots or let's say you have 5 friends can do 3v3. If one team seems to dominate, swap up.

I usually play around 5:15 pm-10pm mon-thu. Fri later sometimes. And sat all day when I feel like it. And Sunday as well till 10. Tue I don't play much if at all.

And then if things come up obviously.

All times for me are pacific standard time for US.
