Knife Animations
I was looking towards buying a new knife and I noticed that the default knife takes less time than the bayonet to start knifing after being drawn. SO this brought me to this question. Are all knife draw animations just as long or do some knifes take less time to be ready for knifing then others?

i never compaired the drawing times but i'm pretty sure that all knifes need the same time to be ready to kill.

you can always 'cancel' the animation by inspecting your knife.

afaik they r all the same in performance, except pony daggers dat shake ur screen everytime u equip them. Draw animations might be longer, but u should be able to stop them by attacking instantly before those finish.

Thank you Celestial but i tried a m9 and a default bayonet ingame side by side and im not sure if its just my imagination working but the bayonet felt slower to be ready to knife.

U can cancel the draw animation by attacking

Well so I press Q to switch from weapon to knife and while its spining im already holding left mouse and the animation never cancels it always finishes. How do I cancel it?

All guns and knives have a countdown that restricts shooting when you pull it out. If you take out the CZ and inspect it, it won't fire immidiately.

Right

So there is no way to cancel the animation?
falcow Feb 28, 2016 @ 1:16pm
No, you can always inspect to cancel but you won't be able to use it. Also, bayonets are the best play knives.

OK so i see you have play with bayonets more than me. Have you noticed if they are slower than the default knife?

Yes, but not by more and it's worth it.
