How to check if item is duped?

So I started getting back into trading lately, and one thing I'm most paranoid about, is if people are trying to trade duped stuff. Please somebody tell me how to check if an item is duped? When I go to csgoexchange and find the guy's item, it only tells me the trade history and such. But it doesn't tell me if there are items that have the same ID, aka duplicate items.

Trust me, there is no such a thing as a duplicated item. I've trade for over a year. And people sometime say they want to check your item for it being duplicated, thats just a classic scam attempt.

That is more than a lie my friend. Youtubers come across this problem countless times. Just last week someone uploaded a video showing that his knife was duped like 8 times. But I can't find out how to check that.

There are duped items but i don't think you can really check them it doesn't really matter. Anything you buy of the market or trade could be duped.

Drink a entire bottle of bleach. That usually works for me.

In order to check if an item is duped, see if it is on any databases like csgodatabase, if you find the exact knife, float is the same, condition, pattern, it is duped if it isnt registered you are out of luck my friend. Hope this helped.

duped items are usually be on an luxury item like Dragon lore, Howl or Sapphire ruby etc...
If you dont trade these item you didnt need to check them

You can also check he trade history of an item on csgoexchange and see if someone has owned the knife more than once.

Well yeah if you read the original post, I mentioned that I did goto csgoexchange and looked at his item. I can see who had it last and all that but it wont tell me the Item ID or if its duped.

@Incarsio Okay so quick update. I'm only able to search for random ones of the item, I can't actually search HIS Item/ItemID.
Update 2: When I do Ctrl+F and look for both current and original ID, nothing comes up. This does mean it's duped right?
