why? well, maybe to play with low ranked friends without using a full lobby. or maybe just to have fun while crushing low ranked players (just to feel good).
The idea is this; if you play against better players you adapt and improve yourself (This is not even considering if the smurf is on your team, because if they're on your team you should be honored just to be in witness to their presence).
This is simply not true.
I started playing with a friend and what we both found to be the biggest skill boost was learning what beats players in your current skill level. But if it works for current skill players surely you must make huge leaps against someone with a lot of experience?
No, not even close.
When you get killed 24/7 because they have better reaction times, aiming and know all the corners there becomes no room for counterplay since the only way to get better at those 3 things is practise. Lots and lots of it. You do not need a smurf wiping their ??? with your team to tell you that you can get better at stopping and then going for the head. This just makes playing boring for everyone involved.
