Heard these are the bomb.

There is a difference between stereo and surround obviously.
It ultimately comes down to the game and soundcard. You can use stereo headphones with a virtual surround environment and it works quite well in this game.

I personally went back to analog surround because I always liked that the most.

Headphones + soundcard or external DAC/AMP combo like i said. If you need a mic you can look for modmic.

"Gaming" Headsets with usb soundcards are often crap. You get more for your money if you only go for Headphones and buy a mic for them.

Btw: im using Beyerdynamic DT990 600ohm headphones with a Vali 2/Modi 2 AMP/DAC combo.

Computers are a bad place for any sound card be it onboard or dedicated. for good audio with no matter any headset be it good or bad you need a external DAC/Amp.

USB is like the swiss army knife of connections. It does a ok job but your always better off using a connection design for the job your using it for. Alot of USB headphoes/Headset have earthing problems which can cause background noise such as crackling sounds.

7.1 is a gimick as you only have 2 ears not 7.1 ears. A good set of 2.0 headphones/headset will allow you to define the direction the sound is coming from prefectly fine. You will find the best Headphones/Headset companies don't do 7.1 or 5.1 Headphones/Headset.

As for what is a good headset for you. That would come down to your personal taste in sound preferences. Some questions you should be asking yourself are:-

1. Do you like a heap of bass, a little bass or mid bass

2. Do you want open or closed cans?
Open allows you to hear everything around you
Closed reduces the sound around you

3. Do you want to use it also on a portable device as then your best with a low Ohm headset. If not you could go higher.

My suggestion is to goto a shop that has demonstration models that you can test for yourself. I could suggest 3 or 4 headsets which I think a great but they may not suit what you are looking for in audio profiling.

I use a set of Sennheiser G4ME Zero ( closed cans as I'm in a room with plenty of background noise)

What motherboard do you have?

With modern motherboards the is little to no difference between onboard and dedicated soundcards. Most of the time they have the exact same chips.

You need a good set of cans. With good cans you can even a pin drop due to the clarity of the sound.

3 brands I'd recommend

Seinnheiser
Beyerdynamic
Audio Technica

I prefer the Seinnheisers as they seem to have the clearest sound to me. But some complain about not enough bass. But I feel too much bass distorts the accuracy of the direction the sound is coming from.

If you do go for a dedicated soundcard make sure it has a dedicated headphone amp.

what about of Sony MDR-HW700DS

Sony are normally cheap and nasty

Those are a 2.0 with software 9.1

Wireless is not good for latancy (sound can be delayed)
Wild Grant Feb 9, 2016 @ 3:16am
The sound in CS is directional, The difference between 2 and 7.1 is night and day, with a good 7.1 sound setup you can locate enemies while they reload, fire or move from half a map away with your eyes closed.

To answer your question about stereo being different from full surround.

in cs go 0.5 sec sound delay...you can see it in settings (console command) ... so about delay...you think this model is not for cs go? ...cause wireles....for me is interesting 9.1 surround... and ofc i want to play without delay...

Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series + Steelseries Siberia Elite Prism is the way to gentlemen. (♥♥♥♥ the USB port for the headset, and the drivers, they suck so bad).

I have no experience with any of those products, only have experience with other Sennheiser products, I always find they give a very good product for their price, good value for money.
