download file size of CS:GO?

i bought CS:go recently and the estimated download time for a 1,024 kb/s download speed is abt 3 hours
now if u calculate that ,its about a 10 gig download
what i wanted to know is if its actually 10 gigs, if not what's the file size?

Its about 10-12 GB at least this is what Steam says.

download size is about 5.8 - 6 gb IIRC. I redownloaded it 2 weeks ago and it was something around that.

early discussions i read said its about 5.3 or 3 gigs
is this cus of the updates?
they jus coupled all of it with the installer?

Thanks for the info I'm new to steam could you tell me if u can save install files after downloading say on an external HDD? so that u can jus install it from that if u ever need to reinstall it?

You can immediately backup via steam after you're finished with the download. It can be saved on your HDD but it will need the updates after the date you backed it up to be able to connect, yet it will save you the trouble of downloading a whole 6 gigs, so it can work but not perfectly.

Some problem happened to me, don't know a bug of what but I am re installing CS GO and it asked for 15 GB but downloads 6.7 only, normal?

The download file size is 6.7 GB after installing it decompresses the files to about 15 GB. Normal.
