This is definetly an opinion question, in my opinion the AK-47 is the best but, it literally depends on the user, I have made quite ridiculous kills with both the M4A1-S and the AK-47.

also ct weapons have less ammo with higher firerate

This. I prefer M4 (don't know why, just better with it) and try to pick one up whenever I'm on T

The M4A1-S I have noticed I have a much higher headshot percentage than the AK-47. I have learned to control the AK-47 spray up to about 10-13 rounds and normally I get the kill just not by headshot.

Aim for the head and slightly pull down and it'll be an easier kill.

AK-47 is the best weapon in the game, has been in all versions of CS:GO.

Also if you are on CT side, try to always pick an AK up - even if you don't want it, maybe one of your teammates does and can make use of it. :)

Whenever I have tried to go for strictly headshots with the AK-47 I always aim for the head and pull down as usual, but the second or third shot always ends up way above their head. I should probably just pull down more? :P
