Friends can't join my game

it happend when the revolver update came.
im banned so i cant just create a private match and invite them.
i have to click on find game then workshop maps and then create local server, then i kick all the bots and tell my buds to join. it worked before the update but now it doesnt work.

it has nothing to do with my vac ban becuase i have csgo on my other account that isn't banned and they still cant join...

The update shouldn't have affected how you used to play with yor friends, are you the main owner of the modem/router you are connected to? If so, check ports and check firewall. If the modem/router has been reset at any point it's possible that things may have been reverted to before and need to be changed.

Well, all the right ports are open. I can play other source games without problems.

The only issue you are running into is having friends join your local server correct? Are you having them try to connect through inviting them or having them click on join game from friends list or chat window? Have you tried having them join via IP?

They join via IP. I can't invite them because the option for it is greyed out.

I don't have a lot of expierence with trying to play via Local Servers but, in the times I have I have always used a program called Hamachi. If you don't know what Hamachi does in laymans terms it makes all users connected to the same Hamachi ip/server whatever you want to call it, act like they are connected to the same modem/router, meaning if you have three friends that want to play and you all have Hamachi and are connected it should show up in the Local Server tab of the server browser for all of you. It's quite handy and very easy to set up, there are walkthroughs online and it's for the most part pretty self explanitory.

You can't start a local server but you can create one via the Workshop browser? ...I'm surprised you could even do that at all. I guess you could give this a shot:

Advertise joinable game in progress to Steam friends, otherwise need a Steam invite (2: all servers, 1: official servers, 0: none)

Set it to 2; all. See if you friends can join via the friend's list or manually connecting via console.

Jesse if that didn't work like I suggested, I would try the Hamachi program. You can google Hamachi and can read up on it if you insist.

The problem is that they hate hamachi so they refuse to use it
