running unlocked fps is like driving a ferrari in 1st gear and revving the engine to the max and wondering why it goes slow and overheats.
most likely you fried your laptop. good job. it just amazes me how many people run unlocked fps and then complaining that it has issues .. OFCOURSE IT HAS ISSUES! you must lock your fps to your monitor's hertz capability.
What I could suggest though is... DDU'ing your mobile gpu drivers and installing fresh ones from NVidia site and you could also throw some pointless eye candy away (Particle Details, Anti-Aliasing, Disabling NVidia Reflex Boost which causes more issues than what you gain from it) and see if that helps you out I guess.
I did everything you suggested: I changed the drivers and experimented with graphics both in the game and in the parameters of the laptop
p.s.: i never thought i would use vsync in a shooter - cs2 is literally the only game that requires it
For me i doesn't work anymore, It doesn't cap FPS and the game feels horrible
I did everything and it still won't turn on, even When its enabled on video settings
even On AMD application Vsync don't work if i turn it on
everything else after that is worse for cs2 (at least on my rtx 2080), although nvidia claims otherwise.
I use Vulkan because DX11 game freezes and crash mid matches
so the first update, Vsync capped FPS to 60 instead of my monitors 75hz
but on DX11 the cap was 75 and game felt smooth (and ofc it crashes so I had to go back to Vulkan)
and now the game Vsync doesn't do anything on both Vulkan and DX11
especially ACEr uses much lower limits for the 3050 -- leading to performance losses !
-Disable HDR in CS2
-And the other cs2 new setting set it to Best Quality
-MSAA X4
Nvidia Control Panel
-Thread optimization=Active
Vertical sync=Disabled
-Maximum Performance over Quality (a must step for smooth game, sadly)
Also you should set laptop to "Ultimate Performance"
I have an i7 12700H + 3050ti 4gb also Acer Nitro 5,bought especially for CSGO one year ago, actully now is 180-240 FPS on low
