CS2 is Disabling Wifi. Windows 11 Laptops
It's as the title says, running CS2 for a few minutes somehow disables/removes WiFi.
The only fix is for me right now for me is to completely shutdown my laptop and boot up again.

It's started happening after the latest update for me.

sounds like firewall blocking , just check your settings in windows firewall , then go to device manager and fix values under wifi.

restart pc , and in game set ping to 40. then change data usage to 4 mb in game .

also check router if the data send is 1500 if not make it.

also if you see 0 value under it change to 1460. or else you get constant wifi turn off. (at least on older routers)

I'll try this. Thanks.

It has not worked unfortunately. However doing a network reset on my computer then restarting fixes it, until I have to inevitably have to shutdown my laptop. Haha. Found a half fix atleast.

I'll to investigate further I guess. Others should try this still, it might work.

LMAO yes how did you know? Anyways the thing that I narrowed down is it's got something to do with the WLAN drivers.

The only thing that's left me wondering is why does it only affect CS2 and not my other online games?

if its wlan drivers , maybe you need to visit asus website and check if your model has correct driver version .

(your version says under device manager)

you can try older drivers as well.

but you sure your laptop is not under battery saving in power option?

or that it has battery saving on wifi in device manager?

you can also check if it has correct power level (maybe its too high or low , try medium or medium low)

also is the security of wlan on correct setting? maybe you have something werid in there.

also if possible check bios to see if ip6 and 4 is enabled or if the wifi is set to dns or static.

if possible try dns on both wifi , bios , and router.

or try static only.

also try doing wifi test on ookla , maybe the delay is too high on your wifi.

and in firewall you sure that it says csgo enable public network or that the csgo is in green?

what network card you have, some realtek cards tend to drop under full load unless you try another driver (also qualcomm cards)

It's a MediaTek. I've updated the drivers though.

I'm plugged in while playing so power shouldn't be an issue. I've also enabled the game in the firewall settings.

Thank you for the advice.
