How does the ELO work?

I am 2.4k elo, I am always put with 10k up to 14k, they are obviously better than me and I just lose. Currently on a 7 game loss streak, who designed this??

Simple as that, it doesn’t, and it does extraordinary little against Smurfs imo

Your personal performance doesn’t matter your wins do

And whenever you lose a match you lose points

Had 4062 just last month
Now I got almost 2000 how?
Losing matches with garbage teammates and playing against cheaters

2 loses were enough to put me below 3000 points and then valve also erased the safe space below 4K
Meaning that another unlucky match put me below 2000 and that’s where I have been sitting

They did increase it now so like the first win of the week or whatever gives me 350ish points, that doesn’t matter tho since I get thrown in with smurfs, toxic teammates and so on so that on everyage to get my 1 win I have around 4 losses

Maybe important to say I'm legendary eagle master in wingman, but 2.4k in Premier.
My highest rank on CSGO was MG2, but I was often around Gold 4 I am certainly not a LEM player, but for some reason I got ranked there. Destroys any kind of motivation to play when the hit reg is broken, the game runs terribly, the comp is broken and I'm bored of the same 6 maps...

To be clear cs doesnt use ELO.

CSGO 2 ranking makes no sense, doesn't work properly, and is now the worst ranking system in any competitive fps, including r6. Don't worry about figuring out something even the devs don't know, just play.

To be honest, my patience is getting thin with this game. It's not ready, straight up isn't fun
