Yeah I just thought a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ card from 2019 would be enough but I guess not
RX 580 8GB (underclocked) is getting 70-130 FPS at 1080p max settings (2017 GPU)
It can't be that bad if CS:GO ran fine and I also play some modern AAA games like Elden Ring and Forza on it. Also it's not a laptop, it's a prebuilt HP gaming PC
Performance in CSGO != performance in CS2 as you learned yourself.
Not true & a false statement ..
Liar!
Example:
Ryzen™ 5 5600, 4.4GHz, 35MB, socket AM4
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz CL18 1.35V XMP 2.0 Black
MSI B450 GAMING PLUS MAX
Seasonic G12 GC Series, 80 PLUS® Gold, 650W
GeForce RTX 2070 (any RTX 2070 would do the job, if u are lower budget than that, you can even play with GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1070 wich can be found cheaper than the 2070s)
With something like that u will never have any fps problems in CS2 (or any other fps game), CPU is good enough
This is going to sound crazy, but setting the resolution up to 4K (my monitors native resolution) greatly improved my performance. I'm on lowest settings at 4K resolution and I'm posting this right now from a Dust2 match. That is so weird, but I've seen this before with other games where they glitch out if you use anything other than your native resolution. Just goes to show how little I know. So if you're reading this with a similar problem try turning your resolution up. Thanks everyone
its been how many years and both AMD and nvidia can't seem to actually perma fix this.
