Why Do Call of Duty Pro Players Use Controller?
In Call of Duty, things are a little different. There's a huge emphasis put on movement, and accuracy is sort of sidelined with a routine suite of weapons that don't have much in the way of recoil and kill players in just a few shots alongside powerful perks, equipment, and killstreaks you can use to give yourself advantages over other players.
cs2 soon will be played with controllers on pro level as well , the cornerstones are set with cs2
to remain competitive against proplayers using controllers
There's a huge emphasis put on movement, and accuracy is sort of sidelined...
Youre being incredibly reductive.
Aiming is kinda automatic in CoD or Halo. Thats why many people call these games "noob games".
CS2 has no and will never have Auto-Aim.
Controllers are therefore not a thing in CS2 and will never be.
CS2 doesnt support controllers, because the devs know that everybody who would play with a controller would have a terrible experience without auto-aim and would just get destroyed by people with a mouse. Thats why they completely killed the support for controllers with CS2 and its highly unlikely that we will ever see it.
What progress?
People are using controllers for games longer than mice.
Then games like Quake 1 and Quake 2 aso. came out and people realized that its much better to aim with a mouse.
People used mice since then. Thats the progress.
Now you come along and are trying to tell people its better to play with a controller?
Go play a shooter without aim-assist against somebody with a mouse and you will get destroyed badly. It won't even be close.
Adding auto-aim to CS would completely take away the skill (of aiming) that this game is based around.
This is not a CoD / Halo noob shooter... it doesn't wan't to be and it never will be.
If that would be in any way true, then why would they remove the controller support completely from CS2?
Why do you think CS2 has no controller support?
Why do you think CS2 is not supported on consoles?
If you would really think that some "transition phase" have started then you wouldn't have come here to cry about the fact that CS has no controller support !?
As I said: This game is.. and never will be ... a controller game... for very good reasons.
