(SOLVED) CS2 - MIC ISSUES - LOGO SHOWS (No one can hear me or see talk logo)
Hello everybody.

This issue is really driving me nuts!
My MIC worked fine under BETA, but after official release, my mic does not work anymore.
I tried every single solution posted regarding this issue.
My MIC works fine in other games, and also in Discord.

When i hold my MIC button in-game, the the Talk/MIC logo shows in left bottom screen with my name on it. But it does not pickup any sound. Also my teammates cant see that im holding the button.

This is what i tried to get it work (without a FIX)
1. Setting my MIC as default in windows
2. Setting my MIC under steam settings
3. Enabling/disabling advanced options + treshold under steam settings
4. Updating drivers
5. Tried another mic (same issue)
6. Logged out and in on steam
7. Reinstalled CS2
8. Verified entegrity files on CS2
9. Checked windows MIC privacy settings
10. Tried all settings under VOICE in CS2 settings + Streamlined push to talk
11. Reinstalled windows from scratch
12. Tried EQUALIZER APO + Other software (same issue)
13. Did MIC test in windows settings (Working)
14. Did MIC test in steam settings (Working)

Is there a CS2 BUG or what is happening. The game is really not fun to play without being able to speak with my teammates. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

I SOLVED THE ISSUE AFTER 42 DAYS PLAYING WITHOUT MIC IN CS2! FINALLY!!!

What i did:
1. In windows search for "Powershell" right click it and run as adminstrator. Thereafter copy+insert and run this command and wait until finish:
DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Media.MediaFeaturePack~~~~0.0.1.0

2. Switched my Wireless USB transmitter for my Logitech G Pro X Wireless headset to another USB port on my motherboard.
3. In STEAM SETTINGS ---> VOICE . Set input device to "Default" and all other settings here to default again.
4. Uninstalled CS2 on my PC.
5. Restart my pc.
6. After restart there was a new update to LOGITECH G HUB. (Updated).
7. Reinstalled CS2 (After install, game goes into verifying mode and cloud sync download).
8. Started game, and know logo shows and everyone can hear me again <3

NOTE: If your mic works in Windows and Steam, there was never a issue or bug in CS2. It is a conflict with your hardware creating this issue somewhere. Either a missing update, a missing media pack, or hardware conflict.

Mines always at 100% by default. No change

I haven't had any microphone issues in CSGO or any other game, but now with CS2 it doesn't work. I've tried everything OP suggested. It's really annoying. I don't know if it is a noisegate issue or what but I don't know how they messed it up. Seems like I read about this more with USB mics.

you tried different mics etc, did you think about trying a different USB port if its a USB setup? did you try using the actual sound ports on your board instead of a USB port?

Im using "Logitech G Pro X Wireless" headset.
Update: I just installed a dual-boot LINUX on my Windows desktop PC. The MIC worked perfect in CS. There is somewhere in windows where there is a issue with CS2. I cant locate this issue, i tried litterally everything. I think it may be a driver that has some issues, or does windows block the MIC for CS2. But also i tried rollback drivers, and i didnt help.

I agree that there's probably some issue with windows. All other apps show the microphone icon in the system tray (privacy settings shows when a mic is being actively used) except CS2.
Windows 10 doesn't seem to have a way to force a program to show up on the list of permitted apps.
Very frustrating. Premier is unplayable without a mic
I FIXED THE ISSUE. My mic is now working in CS2. Playing for 1.5 months without being able to use my mic

So I'm still having this issue. My windows will not install that media pack, and when I look at the DISM table for available packs it is not listed. The only item labeled as 'media' is media player which shows as installed.
My windows is fully up to date and I reinstalled when this issue first came up.
