Incorrect game exclusion in CS2
Hello everyone,
I've been trying to get in touch with Steam support for 2 weeks, but it looks like this isn't possible and you only get automatic replies from a bot. That's why I wanted to get an opinion from the community about my incident.
So unfortunately I was wrongly banned from Counter Strike 2. It is a game ban and not a VAC ban.
I do not use any cheat software or similar products that could lead to unfair gameplay.
Through a bit of research, I found out that there is currently a bug that most likely caused me to be banned from the game. Namely, that a DPI setting on the mouse that is too high could lead to this. I usually play with a DPI of 750, but when I want to briefly look funny for my friends in the game, I press a button on my mouse and my DPI is set to 17,000. This has no advantage at all over other players, because at this point I no longer have any control over my own playing. Rather, it's just a disadvantage and, as I said, I only use it when I want to look funny.
This procedure is possible using the “Logitech G Hub” software.
I have already opened a ticket with Steam Support, but only received this automatic standard response that they would check it but no direct supporter would be made available to me. I've been waiting in vain for another answer for 2 weeks now, but nothing comes. According to the motto “Once (wrongly) checked off and gone with it”. I tried to find another way to contact support, but as I see it the ticket way is the only way. There is no longer a separate contact email or telephone number for support.
However, I wanted to ask here whether anyone else knows a certain way or someone who can also demonstrate this exact problem?

And because I already know from the look of my Steam profile that I have to justify why I only own CS and nothing else, I wanted to put this here.
I admit that I cheated on my main account https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198103035745/ once in 2016 and fairly received a VAC ban on this account as well. (Btw, for whatever reason, another Steam user no longer sees the VAC exclusion, but it is still visible to me as the owner of the account. WTF?? )
And ever since CS2 was announced, I've had a craving for the game again and jumped on the hype train. I dug out an old account (this one) and started again with my friends.
I can already read the comment "Once a cheater, always a cheater", but no, that's not the case for me. 7 years have passed, I'm no longer a naive 15 years old but an adult 22 years old and have developed. I even loaded up money again and invested in certain items, watched a lot of YouTube videos about them and hoped that in a few years I would be able to get out with a profit. (My inventory is public too.) So why the hell would I start cheating again?
And of course I now know that another user can write a lot of nonsense on the Internet and that you don't believe everything you read, but somehow I have to justify myself.

So as I said, if anyone has a way or an idea to remove this ban (which I think is no longer possible in 99% of cases as I know Steam bans) please let me know.

I knew comments like this would be written. Why are nearly all the people in this Steam forum always so toxic...

Why would normal people treat cheaters with respect? You literally ruin fun and fair experience for legit players. No one's gonna praise you for that.

Of course, I understand that cheaters shouldn't be treated with respect. The thing is, I haven't cheated on this account since starting over.

Don't worry, I received a GameBan on my account yesterday. Currently in CS2, accounts with high values are being banned. Cheaters are not banned and open new accounts every day. For having an AMD or using a high DPI, it leads to a ban, so as not to count on numerous temporary bans from no-brainers with new accounts. I invested a lot in my Steam to have my account screwed with an unfair GameBan. But that's life friend, in today's times only the unclean are protected. Valve (the game's developer) assigns random bans to high-value accounts... But we all know why this company has this attitude, not to mention that the same Valve is the one who finances the software creators. Valve profits more from cheaters who open new accounts every day than from those who have been here for many years without resorting to such methods to gain an advantage in a game that has become obsolete like CS2. They win and you lose, but by reporting your situation, being honest with yourself and everyone else, they lose and you gain your dignity. Even if they remove the GameBan I will never play this ♥♥♥♥ game.

Hello. This is a nicely written post and I can sympatise with you reguarding you are not a "naive" 15 year old anymore. But Steam does not have any sympaty with cheaters (and nor should they). your actions as a naive 15 year old (7 years ago) continue to fuel the cheating industry to this day and it is bigger than ever. it's almost like 1 cheater can angy 2 new 15 year olds to start cheat, and the spiral just continues and grows. You can take comfort in knowing that your ban has not been in vain. Togheter with all other banned accounts, it will stand as a shining beacon of hope to all other, that justice exists.

You actually believed if you only closet cheat then you're safe and you can keep your equipment. Maybe it was a case for some time but thankfully devs now crack down on cheaters. You're the only one responsible for your fate, deal with it.

Since you made this post, you're going to have to deal with 90% of brainless people criticizing it. Don't worry, they didn't study enough to understand the system's flaws, they are from a generation that lives for obsolete technology, they don't even have friends in their lives or they have a miserable life. Gabe Newell knows what he's doing, he makes millions himself and invests thousands more to have 90% of cheaters in the game. It is these cheaters who fuel the game and it will continue like this for another 10 years. I have to congratulate Valve (who developed the game), because since CS2 they have a strategy of causing internal instability through 'software', claiming that it is AMD's fault or the high DPI, even the blame they placed in Windows 7 (hahahahahahah), not even in CSGO, there were as many GameBans, as there are now. Gabe Newell, you forgot one detail, before there was CS2, AMD already had high DPI and Windows 7 (haha)... Everything that is happening now is an excuse to remove some players from the scene. Professionals being banned in CS2, YouTubers with thousands of euros in skins being banned, and the ♥♥♥♥ will continue.

Yes, yes. Now off you go create a new account because you're done here chief.

You see, you open the post and 90% of cheaters appear saying bad things, check the Steam of these no-brainers, they are the ones that Valve wants to make money:) Notice how they talk about what they don't know, some of them don't even have friends on their account or games own, let alone played enough to understand the game. As I told you, my friend, go and denounce and ignore the brainless people who at this moment think what is right or wrong. Not even they know why they live, let alone understand when something is done unfairly. Go accept the GameBan, and go with a clear conscience to the next stage, because here you will only find no-brainers. I hope your GameBan is lifted, because you were sincere in your words.

First of all, look his account. it isn´t new and totally not a bought account which was created in May 2017, just as a pre-creation for when he start playing cs2 years later, since April, 2023.. :steammocking:
*sarcasm off*
@Windeldachs Go f#ck off you cheating b!tch, but you should keep trying to write novels or other kinds of books, you have a talent.. :steamhappy:
