Can I disable certain regions from matchmaking?

I'm tired of being constantly matched to certain slavic nation from the far east whose name starts with R only because I live in Eastern Europe... It's impossible to communicate with them because they refuse to speak English, they are toxic, aggressive and overall ruin my experience. Is it possible for me to disable their region in matchmaking? I'd rather wait 10 minutes for a match than have such unpleasant experiences.

Don’t think so. It auto sorts based on what’s available and closest to you. Unfortunately your region might just be too dead to get decent servers when you wanna play.

i try to play with dns.filterize.and another network connection but not change

Only solution would to be VPN but now you’re looking at possible latency and disconnects

Thats not the only solution lol, and its a terrible one.

One when you dont like the random teammates you get than play with a full lobby. There are plenty of ways to get teammates.

The only thing you can do is this:

1. Queue up for matchmaking
2. Once a match is found, DON'T ACCEPT. Instead open the Steam Overlay and check the upper right corner, it will tell you what regional server you are about to connect to if you hit accept.
3. If it's Warsaw or anything similarly far to the East you are likely to be grouped with slavs. Your best bet is Frankfurt or Amsterdam as these are the farthest to the West, but even here you will sometimes encounter slavs, definitely fewer of them than in Eastern servers.
4. Let the queue expire and requeue until you get matched to an acceptable server.

some games penalize you for readying but not doing anything, doesnt that happen here or no?

I've been doing that for a long time, still have green trust factor and no issues.

You only get a ~2min penalty when you dont accept a match. Dont know if that time increases when you dont accept multiple times in a row

When you are in a match than leaving penalty is way longer.

USE CS2 FIREWALL, turn it on first, then turn on the game, block all servers, unblock europe except warsaw, stockholm and helsinki. CS2 is stupid and will try to reroute you to stockholm which is the main RU server. So make sure you block servers close to that as well.

I will never understand why people go that stupid long route instead of queueing with a full lobby lol
