Unstable FPS. Need advices
I've i5-12600kf, RTX 3070 Ti and 16 GB RAM. My avg fps in game is 150 in any resolution at low settings. And it's jumping from 100 to 200. It's uncomfortable to play in 144hz.
Also when I open statistics via nvidia shadowplay, the difference between fps 99% and 100% (Idk how to call it) is very significant (about 50% is lost). For example, if I have 200 frames per second, a value of 99% shows 120.
The temperature of the CPU and GPU do not exceed critical values.
How can I stable it? What I have to do? (Aready picked game mode in BIOS for my CPU and turned on the ReBAR)

is power plan on max performance?

you overclock?

I have 3080 which is somewhat faster but I have ryzen 7 5800x3d which is slower vs your cpu. also I have 32 GB slow speed RAM (cl 20)

I am doing high settings , 1080 resolution in game, and I have 280 fps (not a single drop)

99% fps shows 180 fps so its also 65% drop , but I think its normal , I dont see any lag in fact game is super smooth.

(I am on 280 hz refresh rate monitor)

from my experience the low settings are actually worse in performance than high , try changing those settings.

also 280 is not the highest it goes for me , I just limit fps , (the highest is near 400 fps)

so it does not make much sense if you only get 150 fps on 3070 ti

fps_max might help

Yes, power plan is on max perfomance.

No, I dont overclock. But I'll try to do it.

I have friends who play on AMD processors (they also have a CPU either equivalent to mine or a bit slower). And each of them has a more stable fps than mine.. It seems to me that intel sucks to amd at this game

I played around with the settings and for me the high settings turned out to be less stable than the low ones (I left only shadows and textures at high, Nvidia reflex+boost is also included)

fps_max is set to 0

those inconsistent frame times literally occur on every system benchmarked in cs2 (from low end gtx to high end rtx 4080) and the only mitigation to get it to feel somehow smooth is fps_max = 0, gsync on, vsync on (weird i know), reflex on (which is an external fps cap).
according to https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3039023209 , total latency will only be minimal higher (+5ms in my case, i can live with that). give it a shot.

edit: forgot to mention that cs2 release driver 537.42 is still the fastest / smoothest for these settings
