Valve employee wrote me.

The other day a Valve employee wrote to me. writes that my account is suspected of stealing CS items. I sent the name of the skin that I actually had, in response I gave a screenshot of the exchanges, to which I was told that my account would be limited in activity for 48 hours until the investigation was completed. I naturally recommended transferring the skins to a backup account or to a friend. I decided to transfer it to a friend since he logged in from my computer and I have access to it. I send an exchange offer, log in from a friend’s account, I see the exchange offer but there is no accept button. the next day I see the skins on another level 1 account with my friend’s avatar. I don’t quite understand how they got there. I have screenshots of the correspondence.

Is it possible to restore items in this situation? Or ban the scammer’s account that is used to store my things?

You got API scammed, you logged into a fake website at one point where you tried to buy an item of a third party website. A valve employee will never ever message you or email you. Check your API key and make sure you keep checking your login history to see when your account got logged into. If it does happen again in the future do not trade any items anywhere until you remove the API site and change your email and password for the steam account.
