About achievements
Will Valve add more achievements to CS2? CS: GO had a lot of them and some were cool, but CS2 has only one since its launch. Seems odd they just removed CS GO achievements... just like removing the game from the store completely.

This game has no any real challenge to do.
Rare achievements have to be related to skill, but 99% of CS GO achievement was just time waste garbage ala "play 1000 times here, play 1000 times there".

So... they released a game with another missing feature. I know achievements don't mean anything, but come on, there is no arms race, no demolition, no classic deathmatch. I don't think you can even play workshop maps with your friends. I'm not saying it's a bad game because of these, but it feels empty compared to CS:GO.

Yes it feels empty.
Poor map amount also make it so pathetic for the 23 years old game. And no real challenges for skilled players. Even Condition Zero with it's god-like bots was a masterpiece compared to this.

I just don't understand why they removed CS:GO from Steam like it never existed. I get that they want the player base to move to the newer game, but removing CS:GO forever is like deleting a piece of history. It does not even feel like the "next-gen / next-era" of Counter Strike.
Also, no other CS game was removed from steam (I think). We have CS 1.6, CS:CZ, CS:S and then CS2. Where is CS:GO? Oh wait, we have to pretend it never happened.

I share your sadness, but this is the future of multiplayer games. And these are no longer the "games", but free services. Your purchase of green status is not make you game copy owner anymore, it not oblige the developers in any way; they can do whatever they want with their products at any time. They can rename, reforge, just delete it forever, EVERYTHING.
Hitman 2 disappeared from the market and Hitman 3 appeared.
The same thing happened with Overwatch once? Yes I guess.
Although Quake Live, they removed the master server and forced people to switch to Quake Champions.
Dirty methods work, and no one can do anything.

Yeah, I guess you're right... But we wouldn't talk about this if the game had enough content and features like the previous game. This is a common problem. Developers launch a game that has less content, compared to the last one. I'm sure Valve will update the game with more things, but for the moment it's a bit underwhelming.
