CANT RUN CS2 IN 144HZ

Help, can't run CS2 in 4.3, FullHD and 144HZ. Only appears 75 HZ. I have to change to 16.3 to enable 144 option. How to solve it?

I ran into a similar problem, and I came across a potential solution given by someone else.

In short, this is what you need to do:

1. First ensure your monitor supports the resolution and refresh rate of your choice. If so, close CS2, and then:
   
2. Go to the appropriate software depending on your video card (probably either AMD Adrenaline or else Nvidia Control Panel), and choose to make a custom resolution.
   
3. Enter the correct resolution width and height.
   
4. If the refresh rate you want (144Hz) is NATIVE to your monitor: Enter an incorrect refresh rate, like 130Hz.
   
5. If the refresh rate you want (144Hz) is NOT native to your monitor: Enter the correct refresh rate (144Hz).
   
6. Start CS2 and see if you can select your resolution and refresh rate.

For some weird reason ( maybe because my monitor is outdated ) I can play with 143 HZ maximum ,instead of 144 .

damn bro tks a lot i use my laptop for almost 3 years and cant change to 144Hz now you give me the perfect solution

Hey found a way....just change do 4.3.....close the game...start again....will appear more options than 75hz...including 144hz.... ;)

Guys, had the same issues, seems that the driver is the issue, please make sure that you donwload the correct Nvidia driver, exmp ( ihad 561.90, i should've had 568.90) this is the whole issue.

just put it as windowed and apply then select full screen. you should see more refresh rate options when you do this

Use Shift + ; to create a colon (:) . The semicolon (;) can be found to the right of the L key.
