Why should a FT or WW have clean pattern? : P
It is speculated this will invert the price structure on Classic Knives raising Battle Scarred to the top; which based on how Valve experimented on TF2 market for many years seems very 'on brand' for them...
if you want to have a clean looking FT knife, get it in a low float; or in MW lowfloat
It got fixed in CS2.
FT knifes looking the same as FN knifes ingame ?
what you mean is, that some knifes do have a "special" look sometimes depending on the skin and float
In CSGO a skin paint (e.g. Night Stripe) will completely cover it, but in Field tested it was scratched and fully reveal a clean look, best looking at float 0.36, I myself have bought one and use it before. The price is cheap because the community determine FT as a cheaper value.
In CS2 they changed the way it works; FT will show dirty pixels on that edge, and only at battle scarred it will be fully scratched and revealed again. Like turtle said on reply #2 : It is speculated this will invert the price structure on Classic Knives raising Battle Scarred to the top.
