Validating files
Hello everyone

Ever since the cs2 launched, i cannot open the game as it is constantly going into the process of validating the entire game, so far I've tried:

-reinstalling the game, multiple times, on different drives
-updating/downgrading graphics driver
-restarting the computer
-trying multiple startup commands off the internet
-Fixing the game files, nothing comes back
-starting the game as an admin

The regular old cs:go doesn't work either anymore, the only way to turn the game on in any way is to browse the local files and open it through the .exe file in the game files, however that just launches a really outdated version of cs:go.

Any help would be much appreciated
Many Thanks

-Ryzen 7800x -3070ti -A drive would either be WD green SSD or WD blue HDD
-16gb ram

intersting, so you tried restarting PC... hmm?

Ok i provid a solv

Shutdown steam.exe

go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

make sure to backup replays folder if you want to save demos....

find "Counter-Strike Global Offensive"

right click folder > select delete > make sure that son of bich is in recycle bin > empty the bich

Now...

Launch Steam > find CS2 > Right click CS2 > select properties > select betas > on the dropbox select NONE

now...

right click CS2 > select properties > select GENERAL > scrolldown to launch options > place this in the launch options -allow_third_party_software

Now... Install CS2... wait patiently...

There is no such folder as csgo, i have 2 foldrs which are:

-Steam Controller Configs> 384361493> config
-Steamworks Shared> _CommonRedist> DirectX/DotNet/vcredlist

all the other folders under steamapps are empty, tried searching for cs folder through the entire C drive but no luck.
ok
Continue with the rest of the solv then
looks like you don't have CS2 installed

I’ve been having an issue with CS2 where I constantly need to verify the game files every time I launch it. After troubleshooting, I discovered something interesting:

If I launch the game using a shortcut (whether from the taskbar or desktop), the game always requires me to verify the files before starting.

However, if I launch CS2:

By right-clicking on Steam in the taskbar and selecting the game from the context menu,
OR directly from the Steam library,
...the game launches fine, without needing to verify files.
Here’s the key difference I noticed: When I launch it through Steam, it does a quick cloud sync just before starting the game, which doesn’t happen when launching via the shortcut (even if the shortcut points to the cs2.exe file).

I suspect the problem is that the shortcut doesn’t include some launch parameters or doesn’t initialize something critical, like the anti-cheat system, which Steam seems to handle properly.
