Error: failed to reach any official servers

Hi All, reaching out to the community as steam support was unable to help. I get the error: Match making failed:

failed to reach any official servers. there might be a problem with your internet connection or firewall configuration. Please verify your network settings and try again. 1-3 multiple attempts to acquire the required network resources have failed. 2-network connection established successfully but official servers are unreachable.

Issue has been going on for 5 days,

What happened last successful matchmaking session:
was disconnected from a premier matchmaking game in warmup, local issue with the network that resolved itself in time to rejoin the game. Completed the game and played another one after. at end of game session, noticed that cs2 required an update (November 9), left the computer idle for the day.

Start of issue:
Started cs2 as usual, no error messages or anything out of the ordinary. Attempted to start a matchmaking game, error in screenshot immediately popped up, clicked ok, started matchmaking again, same error pops up after exactly 10 seconds. Rebooted machine, error persists in popping up after 10 seconds. Can play games against bots in practice.

unworkable workaround:

If i share my mobile network as a hot spot, i can connect to matchmaking servers (network connection is not fast enough to enjoy the game, but it does work)

I've tried the following steps multiple times:

- Resetting router
- ipconfig /flush dns /release, etc.
- verifying game files
- forgetting known network
- reinstalling steam
- disabling firewall
- updating drivers
- rolling back drivers
- resetting firewall settings to default
- changing in-game settings on/off
- running steam as administrator
- deleting network folders in steam system files
- deleting all folders in steam system files
- reinstalling cs2
- checked if CS2 is an allowed application by the firewall (it is)
- opened a bunch of ports specific to CS2 as listed in their support files
- Asked other person with different device to download cs2 and start matchmaking (same network), matchmaking successful, no issues at all.

I can't really figure out what is going on, has anyone else encountered this and been able to resolve it?

I've tried this, but still get the same issue with matchmaking later.

have you tried reinstalling the OC? or did you call your provider to try to solve the problem through them?

Other devices can connect to game servers on my wireless, it's just my own laptop on this connection that gets the issue.

It's starting to look like a firewall issue, but not sure what i can do to resolve it. i've played with firewall disabled but that didn't change anything, i've tried adding cs2 as an allowed application, but that hasn't solved the issue either.

Just not sure what i can do about it

I've tried connecting to tf2 game servers on this device on the same network and that went without issues as well.

That doesn't look good. You need to open this folder - \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\materials\panorama\images\icons.
delete skillgroups and equipment folders (so that they are reinstalled).
I don't think this will solve your problem, but it will go for a start.

Then try this command console: net_maxroutable 1100 (1150 might work?)
what is the default value in console? 1200?

Also try to turn off steam overlay for cs2 and delete in-game overlay data

I have so many thoughts about your problem. But I'm confused that everything works on the mobile network. As usual, your laptop is connected to the Internet? LAN or wi-fi?

Are you able to connect to the Steam Datagram Relay in any other game that uses it?

For example, can you spectate a match in Dota 2?

1. folder doesn't exist, breadcrumb goes as far as \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\ but there's no folder named csgo, there's one named game with csgo in it, there's a folder in there named panorama, but it does not have an images folder, couldn't find an images folder anywhere. I only recently did a clean reinstall and verified integrity several times.

2. changed from 1200 to 1100

3. overlay wasn't enabled and i cleared the cache, i think i did these steps previously

4. added cs2 as an exception, issues persisted, turned off firewall on device, no change. disabled firewall on router, no change.

5. Just Windows security's own firewall.

6. it's connected over wifi

Haven't tried Dota 2, did try Team fortress 2 if that uses it?
