CS2 NOT SMOOTH

Before getting advice on how to optimize, keep in mind that I have tried EVERYTHING. Absolutely EVERYTHING. There is no way for the game to run smoothly. 6-7 days ago the game was running fine and again it feels heavy FPS having 170-210 FPS on average. This happens a lot, suddenly it feels smooth and the same feeling comes back. I am a gamer for over 15 years and notice any visual bugs or feel to the game from the amount of hours and years playing competitive. It feels more smooth BTF 2046 at 70 FPS than CS2 at 200 FPS. Something is going on and there is no way to fix it. I've tested on different PCs and the same thing happens. They all have AMD processors. I have not been able to check with others.

Components:

RTX 3070
AMD RYZEN 7 5800H
16 G RAM
WINDOWS 10

Yeah intels get microstutter too. I assume you tried -vulkan as well?

I disabled PhysX from NVDIA panel and run smooth again, idk if this can help anyone, but for now work

lots of people have those problems. cs2 is not well optimized right now. we have to wait for updates.

Best clue for me for AMD gpu was to install DDU, uninstall with it every gpu driver, and install adrenalin 23.11.1, be sure to use DDU on safety windows mode.

nvidia gforce physicX is a gpu software which taps into the gpus complex physics calculations, if you play games that require physX you NEED it. please dont spread information you do not understand. leaving it on should have no affect on "smoothness" in your case is complete placebo. game has felt the same since release, it surly does not feel smooth though, playing with less people has made more of a impact than any hardware/software config. games feels normal in a 5v5, unlike any casual 10v10 does NOT feel like 240Hz/240fps

I have random stutters with more than 500FPS, the frame time almost does not vary but random Network errors appear. I think the problem is in the communication with the servers. It gets worse with lots of players and shots.

yes you are right, only placebo or timming, now feels bad again...

Hear me out my man. The last time Valve made a PC FPS game was in 2012 . 11 years ago.

They forgot how make a QUALITY FPS in the meantime. Call it tragedy a team which made glorious FPS titles like HALF life 1/2, L4D1/2, TFT1/2, Portal1/2 and defined this genre are now lost their magic cause of lazy Idling for over a Decade

That's explains why CS2 feels like work of a rookie indie devs. Poor performance, influx number of bugs. The game feels like 60hz despite playing in 240hz.

and I don't think current Valve team are capable of fixing it. The dying behind walls alone made it evident how awful the current gen of Valve Devs are and the best patch they could come with it just to teleport back to you where you died makes it obvious they are absolutely skillless baffoon who doesn't know what they are doing.

i agree i don't think they have the talent in house anymore, the same reason we don't have a working anti cheat.
