Game Freezes/Crashes Randomly
So i downloaded CS2 a week ago and the game is unplayable from a freezing issue and i was wondering if anybody else is experiencing it or even fixed it.

Basically when i play Premier, at random point during it, the game just freezes and i cant do anything about it. But its not always like this. For example, yesterday i played 3 games and everything went great. Today, my game was freezing and crashing twice per game which makes it unplayble. When i open the task manager to close the app, it always says that CS2 is not responding. My CPU/GPU and RAM usage levels are always just fine tho. I have followed every single tip that i found online or that Valve told me to do because i contacted the support (updated drivers and windows etc.) but nothing has helped so far. I even have friends that have this issue with pcs that have 32gbs of ram and RTX 3060’s.

Please comment if you have this issue or a fix i would appreciate it a LOT.
Thanks in advance.

When you say "freezes and crashes" do you mean it gradually slows down into a halt? Or does it freeze instantly?

In any case, I had the exact same problem (freezing instantly), and a solution that has worked for me (so far 5 or 6 games in a row) was to simply: Disable Steam Overlay for CS2. So going into your Library, right-clicking CS2 and it's somewhere near the launch options or so. Definitely worth a shot.

What are your hardware specs?

Yeah thats what i meant, it freezed instantly and never recovered. I already did that, and i disabled geforce overlay as well but nothing seems to work unfortunatly.

My specs are intel i5 10400F, Geforce GTX 1060ti 6gb, and i have 8gbs of ram. I get more than 120 fps in lower graphics. Also i forgot to mention that i have over 800 hours on CS:GO and i never had a single issue with the game until now.

Having the same issue, happens sometimes, I kinda fixed it by updating the GPU drivers, lowering resolution and putting: -dx11 on launch parametters

Yeah i know man, but its perfoming great in every other game that i play and i dont mind it. I dont know if i want to buy a new GPU just to play CS2. I dont have any problems at any other game with crashes, fps or whatever.
