CS2 Backup.
Hi,

I used a different PC to create a CS2 backup on my disc, but when I plug-in disc to my main PC... Steam wants me to download it all over again. My network connection is quite poor, so it'd take ages before I could play CS again.

Ps. (checking file integrity doesn't work)

If the files are in the same directory where Steam tries to download them, it should work. IIRC it still looks like it's downloading, but after a while it should go faster.

once you click download it will search for files you have and then reduce size , you can manually go to steam settings disk and do search again so that way steam recognises you have games downloaded on disk.

but how poor is your internet connection? (speed in mbs)

internet now is quite cheap , try checking your location on all internet providers , maybe someone offers good speed.

I mean how do you want to play csgo 2 with poor internet?
unless you play vs bots.

It depends, once it's fast as hell and once it's so slow that Spotify has to load a song. Download speed is 250kb/s or 5MB/s it's really unstable.

I don't want to play Competetives, I just got a new monitor and I want to test how it is to play on 165Hz instead 75.

It's also strange that Steam is not detecting CS2 on my disc, there's no problem with other games.
Anyway, it worked guys. Thank you for help. :sans:
