Most of the decisions they made were the wrong ones. We never got 128 tick and somehow the servers feels worse.

you got any proof of those numbers
we are still peaking at over 1 mil players daily

I stopped playing because of the gimmick smoke effects and the strange mouse lag.

I dont really know where you get those numbers but it doesn't matter a good part of that even if true are people with too weak PC's to run CS2.

where are you getting those numbers from? cs2 only has about 700000-1200000 daily players, if it lost 700k, then it would be 0 to 500k players :/

look here https://steamcharts.com/app/730

don't just look at the LATEST numbers, it scrolls down, check the past gains and drops, there's nothing unusual about it. in 2023.oct loss was -18.85%, but in july.2023 there was also -18.81% loss
another big loss was 2018.april with -18.4% and one with -16.75% in june 2021.

there's nothing unusual about it. cs2 isn't losing players any more than it has in the past.

in fact if you look at graph from 2013 to 2023, then it has consistently been growing, you can draw average line from bottom to top that grows.

if cs2 keeps losing players after 2-3 months, then you could say its going down the toilet, but at this point its normal.

And we are supposed to care about that as long as we enjoy the game? With this thread you won't worry any valve employe or hurt them in a way to make them work harder. I haven't been actively looking at the top 100 most played games on Steam, but iirc CSGO (CS2) has been always between 800k+ and 1.5m+ all the time, and you have to take in count that this new iteration of the game is more demanding than the previous one and MAC isn't supported in this one, so in that case is logic to lose a chunk of the player base.
None of the complains about the game or new mechanics will make it go down and crash. It will be as always the most popular and played game on Steam, no matter what.

I mean, this link tells us CS2 is still the most played and top selling...https://store.steampowered.com/charts/
And then you have external sites showing data like https://steamdb.info/app/730/charts/

CS2 will live on, it's rough right now I agree. We are missing game modes, maps, and a ton of features/bug fixes, but the game is still playable.
