Mic isn't working.
I use Voice Meeter banana, a HyperX Solocast microphone.

I tried increasing my volume, switching between mics, updating drivers, boosting voice quality, changing voice threshold in game config, and even switching microphone ports. Nothing seems to work. This is getting really annoying because I really rely on being able to speak to teammates in-game, along with it just being faster too call things out. The only 'fix' is resetting my PC but as soon as I play a different game or log out, mic stops working until I reset my PC and play CS2 as the first game since PC restart.

I keep seeing "Fixes" but they never work. CS2 did NOT have this issue during playtests, it only started once the game launched. Not very cool Valve. What's next? Season pass model but you have to earn mic privileges ?

dont think that's issue with your mic, it's issue with wrong settings in windows or in your sound panel (whichever soundcard you have).

1. set your mic as default recording device.
2. disable all other recording devices.
3. in windows sound settings "listen to this device" or whatever the option is, make sure it works properly

restart game and restart steam or restart PC just to be sure.
recheck and make sure windows haven't re-enabled or changed any of it.

on win 10 i've always had issues that win 10 automatically tries to decide which device is best for me, it re-enables disabled devices (like virtual mic) and tries to use those instead.
for output win 10 on some reason thinks that my monitor should be used as default audio .. even tho i have proper 7.1 surround setup, it tries to force monitor.

so i had to make group policy and disable this feature, otherwise it kept doing it after every reboot.

I've tried all of this. None of this worked. You didn't read what I wrote

Having the same issue with mic here too. Tried everything, just hopefully waiting the next updates to fix it...

I felt like I didn't need to reply to this, but just so its clear. This isn't an issue for me, It was already bound to my normal button I use to talk. However, I did retry binding it but that still didn't fix it. My mic comes through. It just doesn't pick my voice up.
