CS2 often drop FPS from 300 to 16-30.
Recorded video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14G5544nKqTzb2sSXi84F5EP-jIRrDRiP/view?usp=drive_link

By the way, when the game was released in the first week, I did not notice such drops in FPS.

However, I noticed that if I run OBS to record, the FPS drops very rarely.

I already tried:
- clear shaders
- changed video resolution, visualization quality, anti-aliasing modes, etc.
- change processor and video card parameters (PBO on/off, changing limits PPT/TDC/EDC, power management etc.)
- I suspected throttling of the processor or GPU, but no (including updating the thermal paste and installing additional heat dissipation on the video card)
It doesn't affect anything - it always looks the same as in the recorded video - FPS drops to indecent values.

I found solution:
pacman -S vulkan-radeon
pacman -R amdvlk

Now fps don't drop anymore

Any tips for nvidia cards? I'm using the proprietary drivers

didn't know 300hz monitors exist .. human eyes can't even detect over 300fps, so 300hz monitors will never exist, as it would be WASTE of GPU power .. so learn to configure your PC and it runs smooth.

what you are doing right now, is as good as revving a Ferrari in first gear and wondering why engine overheats, but it won't move any faster

V-Sync and FPS are not the same thing. And I know very well the difference between displaying an image and rendering it on the GPU.
And personally, I notice a difference in the rendering speed of a discrete video stream between 200 fps and 250 fps when outputting to a 60Hz display. Well, I usually limit the FPS to 250 so as not to fry the GPU and not hear the noise of the fans, but the limit was removed to demonstrate the problem.

alienware makes a 360hz, so do other manufacturers, maybe do some research before you talk out of your ass

And yes, as mentioned above, 360/480/500(540) Hz monitors are on sale.

May be need to add boot option for kernel module nvidia:
nvidia-drm.modeset=1
?

Wanted to say big thanks! I just had to uninstall amdvlk. Searched the whole internet and your solution fixed everything for me. The game now runs smooth on high settings

I'm amazed how you keep proving to everyone that your whole life revolves around making things up that anyone can prove wrong with 1 google search. It's honestly impressive.
Did you plan on doing other videos defending silvers cheating btw?
