Can't set refresh rate above 60 in fullscreen mode

Good one Valve! Setting custom resolutions in Nvidia, tweaking config files, setting launch options, none of these fix it!

Turning vsync on or off doesn't do anything for my case. However, I didn't try setting it in the console instead, so I'll check that out.

Okay, I tried mat_vsync in config, fixed it once then when I tabbed out and back in it was set back to 60hz and now I can't replicate it again.

If you have an nVidia card go into the nVidia control panel and create a custom resolution.
Select your desired refresh rate, apply and save.
Boot up CS2, select the resolution you created and you should be able to adjust the refresh rate in CS2.

Did you even read my post? I already tried this, it doesn't work.

Do you get constant 60 fps? Does it fluctuate? Does it switch between 30 and 60?
If it doesnt fluctuate (so like anything below 60 up to 60) or switches between 30 and 60 AND youre playing on a 60Hz monitor then its very likely that there is some kind of VSync enabled (double check your global nvidia settings in that case).

Also check what max fps is set to (in cs2)

You used all csgo console commands for refresh rate?

And your monitor supports more than 60 hz ?

It won't work if your monitor settings says 60 hz or if your windows settings say same.

Nvidia is separate from those two.
Even on custom it will be ignored if those 2 say 60 hz.

Also in nvidia you need use highest refresh rate on.

Don't use vysync as that would just go back to 60 hz.

it's an LG 2k monitor that supports 75 hz, windows settings says 75. Idk the model name.

It's display port. To clarify, this is the ONLY game that does this, every other game supports my refresh rate of 75 on fullscreen, even at different resolutions other than native. I highly doubt it's the monitor and it's simply the game being stupid. It doesn't say the monitor model anywhere btw.

Add game to nvidia panel maybe it's not there.

Open Steam, right-click Counter Strike, then go to Properties. Search for Set launch options and type -freq (desired refresh rate) like -freq 75.
