What is wrong with Shotguns?
I really am concerned about the state of shotguns in CS2. I am getting absolutely obliterated by the xm, nova and mag 7. While the rifles feel weaker then before. Is anyone else experiencing this? I´m not trying to be smart here but i would love to see someone from valve take a statement to this state of the game and what else is about to come. Have a great evening fellow CS´ers :)

They are same as before. The only difference is that now idiots starting using it after seeing some cringe pro players like S1imple trolling around with in championship. And then sudden everyone wants to do the same because people are guillible clowns.
The nova and xm got tighter spread patterns.
All shotguns received increased falloff distance.
All shotguns can now penetrate thin walls and objects.
The xm, nova and mag-7 are all better than they once were.
The sawed off is still the worst shotgun even with the buffs.

shotguns got buffed and with the state of tickrates, they became extremely strong

The shotguns is a 1 shot 1 kill weapon at close range .. you have 1 shot at close range, if you miss then your target got 30 bullets he can kill you with

Rifles got slight nerf as well. AK and M4 deal less damage compared to CS:GO. Single digits but still though.

shotguns only work in bronze 1 level.
they're not too bad on office map either, but otherwise they're useless, only extremely low skill players use them. there are exceptions ofc, but mostly not. you don't see tournament players use them much. as i said, there are exceptions like if they eco or do certain tactics, but pro players dont use them as primary.

Shotguns work extremely well in maps like Nuke or Vertigo. Just saying.

The only thing I think need to change is the pattern of XM, it should get a wider spread if you decide to shoot more than once. XM currently shoots like a slug shotgun with a tight pattern in the middle of the gun. First 1-2 shots could be accurate but it should get more spread after if you spray it to stop it from being a long range shotgun. Every other shotgun are less accurate at range and requires you to aim in some weird way to hit your shots.
