How to unlock fps in cs2?

How to unlock fps in cs2? Why it is locked at 60 FPS

My device:
- 165 Hz Monitor
- Intel Core i7-12700H
- Nvidia geforce rtx 3070 TI Laptop
- 16 GB RAM

I already tried, but it didn't help (locked at 60):

- fps_max 0
- Vsync setting in CS2 - Disabled
- Fullscreen - 165 Hz - setting in CS2 (locked at 60)
- Fullscreen Windowed setting in CS2
- Vertical sync in Nvidia CP - OFF

I've never had problems in CS:GO before.

And is that INGAME, not in the menu?

If its on a laptop, its most likely limited because the monitor cant show more than 60hz.

Your laptop is using the i7-12700H Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics GPU, its limited to 60HZ


Try to join deathmatch, use cl_showfps 1 in console and see what it is.

Both in the menu and in the game locked at 60

I changed display graphic preference in CS2 to rtx 3070

i think you have to set it to fullscreen instead of fullscreen windowed

The issue is not fps but refresh rate.

Try adding game to nvidia panel and ensure it says use highest refresh rate.

Then in windows check if it says 165 hz then in monitor settings you might need to click overclock on to actually use 165 hz refresh rate, then in nvidia check if it says 165 hz as well.

You can also Google csgo 2 commands and search for refresh rate , there is one you can use.

If your nvidia panel does not work try nvidia profile inspector on github
