Increase volume at overlay settings of steam and set your mic as default device at Windows settings, then manually force cs2 to use it by advanced sound and app volume settings of windows.
Go to -> Settings -> Windows Update -> Advanced options -> Optional updates
There, you might have several audio driver updates, so... download them and that should help to fix mic ingame.
1. Steam settings > Voice > Voice Transmission Threshold > Off
2. If 1. won't help try to play with Input volume/gain on same location.
can you please explain how to do that ?
I had the same problem. I went to the control panel (in windows) and disabled all other mics exept of the one i use (for example i still dont know what noise cancelling output is but i disabled it anyways) and then when i closed and reopened the steam overlay i went to settings to ingame chat where it automatically adjusted to my microphone as it couldnt use any other i tested it there and it worked
