CS2 deathmatch is the worst deathmatch I ever played.
Spawn system is just so ridiculously bad I think it may be bugged.
You are constantly spawned in the middle of the area, most of the times without any possible covers, with multiple people surrounding you. Very often you just spawn to die, because 2-3 people already aiming at you. Sure you can kill one if you have 1-shot weapon, but then you will die instantly or in couple seconds, because you can't get to cover, again, you are in the middle of nothing.
If you somehow survive this, you will find second feature- people will spawn exactly behind you, again, not behind walls or something, just on the place you don't watch. For example, you spawn, make couple steps forward- get a burst to your back almost point blank. Same with covering angle- as soon as you turn around, there is a good chance of someone spawn there.
Or sometimes people literally spawn in front of you, just meter away. With 10 seconds of invulnerability.
Last one btw is kinda useless- because half of the time you spawn in the middle of site so you will die after one kill (usually the guy behind whos back you spawned) or no kill at all if you didn't land instaheadshot.

And this is despite that now it is only 16 people on server.

And despite the last, DM servers are the laggiest ones. Because there is constantly so many people in one place.

I understand it was made like this to be more dynamic and always have a fight close to you but with current implementation it is just frustrating. It wasn't even an issue for FFA, only for team deathmatch. Current version is bad for aim training, bad for positions learning, bad for training in general. And not fun. Somehow feels even worse than CoD shipment.

This all can be fixed pretty easily- no spawn protection (or very brief one), no spawn in close proximity to other players if there is no cover between them, manual setting spawnpoints to be relatively secluded and covered from at least one side.
And slightly increased radius between spawns and players to avoid clusterstruck but still improve time-to-action.

The maps are too small for so many players.
I would make switching to pistol a lot faster and add a small bit of health regen per kill to at least make it more bearable as I doubt they will ever do anything sensible like add bigger maps or reduce lobby size.

dm matches should have only large maps in pools
