CS2 deathmatch is the worst deathmatch I ever played.
Spawn system is just so ridiculously bad I think it may be bugged.
You are constantly spawned in the middle of the area, most of the times without any possible covers, with multiple people surrounding you. Very often you just spawn to die, because 2-3 people already aiming at you. Sure you can kill one if you have 1-shot weapon, but then you will die instantly or in couple seconds, because you can't get to cover, again, you are in the middle of nothing.
If you somehow survive this, you will find second feature- people will spawn exactly behind you, again, not behind walls or something, just on the place you don't watch. For example, you spawn, make couple steps forward- get a burst to your back almost point blank. Same with covering angle- as soon as you turn around, there is a good chance of someone spawn there.
Or sometimes people literally spawn in front of you, just meter away. With 10 seconds of invulnerability.
Last one btw is kinda useless- because half of the time you spawn in the middle of site so you will die after one kill (usually the guy behind whos back you spawned) or no kill at all if you didn't land instaheadshot.

And this is despite that now it is only 16 people on server.

And despite the last, DM servers are the laggiest ones. Because there is constantly so many people in one place.

I understand it was made like this to be more dynamic and always have a fight close to you but with current implementation it is just frustrating. It wasn't even an issue for FFA, only for team deathmatch. Current version is bad for aim training, bad for positions learning, bad for training in general. And not fun. Somehow feels even worse than CoD shipment.

This all can be fixed pretty easily- no spawn protection (or very brief one), no spawn in close proximity to other players if there is no cover between them, manual setting spawnpoints to be relatively secluded and covered from at least one side.
And slightly increased radius between spawns and players to avoid clusterstruck but still improve time-to-action.

CS' DM respawns are really stupid tbh.
The guy I killed in any distance how tf respawns near me ?

That's not a problem to me since I double kill them.

But adding more players doesnt help, instead makes it harder.

But i still prefer this mode because every idiot was used to AWP around everywhere.

I agree, deathmatch is not established well. There should be two types of deathmatch, a free for all, and a team mode. WIth team mode spawns set around living team members, and free for all around vacant areas. With random weapons based on players loadouts only.
Yes please. How could they cancel TDM Team vs Team. This was the reason why I played it. So I go back to Crossfire

I'm not a very skilled player, but I've been playing FPS games since 2000s and holy damn no one in any lobby gets score over 400 anymore because it is impossible! you can't get kills. you spawn, you either kill 1 guy and then get 1 tapped from behind or you die first thing after invincibility runs out. wtf is this game mode lmao???
Everyone on this feed is correct. Free for all is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. To get spawned right in front of an enemy is the worst mechanic adding that everyone in the server is your enemy. Is Valve trying not to make the game fun anymore? Cause they're doing a damn fine job of it.
Plus it's flooded with bots If a vote to kick a player comes up vote yes 99% of the time it's a bot
On community / non valve DM servers, the spawns and timings are a little better, just always be moving so you can train against the most targets

DM traditionally is not played for clout or points. Some people might play it for that, but anyone's goal should be maximizing the number of gunfights they can take, since it's for warming up aim against other players.

Team-DM would be nice...we could all practice the art of trading

The problem are the people who camp in FFA DM and then they just kill the people who spawn in.

What is the purpose of camping in a FFA DM? I literally don't know....so you can take a screenshot of having the highest stats at the end? I don't even play DM's that end. They just restart. No one gets points because it's a community server with more responsiveness and I already got my weekly drops.
How did they make it worse than it was in csgo... I don't understand how that's even possible
