Ping/Routing problems Germany/Thailand

Hello,

I am playing CS2 with a friend. He lives in Thailand and i'm from Germany. it's been going quite well so far. I pinged with 120, he with around 80. I was routed via Dubai to Mumbai or vice versa.

Recently, or since the update, my ping is at 400 - we play in Mumbai, Dubai or UAE - routed via Stockholm, Amsterdam or similar. It's unplayable.

Do you have any ideas what we can do (besides moving). Something in the settings? It worked before the update too, ... thanks valve

yup. same here .. played with friend, i set my max ping to 200. first match i had 150ms, which is somewhat playable, but second match i had 360 ... what is this? how can i have 360 if i set limit to 200?

even weirder, is that on the ACCEPT screen, it said 155ms, but after i accepted and we got into match, it was 360. and it was stable 360, thruout entire match ..

Having same issue but CS is not helping, they refer to Network Issue but it's not, they are not interested to solve it

The only fix is to not play on the servers with high ping..... its not a setting issue that is just how pings work

There was no such issue before with CS2 and also if you read his comment he is saying "even weirder, is that on the ACCEPT screen, it said 155ms, but after i accepted and we got into match, it was 360. " like wise I have accepted a match with 130 ping and then it got later on with 400 ping so naah, your suggestion still doesn't work here
