Are CS:GO frag movies dead? HLAE?

Is HLAE still compatible with CS2 or are 3d frag movies completely dead? Is there another process now?

There's little to no people actually still doing those type of 'edits'.
I don't think it's a compatibility issue, but a laziness one. Streaming and softwares that clip shxt easily make those 3d OG edits obsolete. Not due to lack of quality of compatibility, but the opposite.

I don't do 3d edits but normal frag movies and barely anyone cares. In general - not just me - frag movies don't matter for people. The issue is simple: Frag movies aätake a ton of work. Some movies need more than 100 hours of work and the amount of views aren't enough.

People prefer just livestreaming. Some make guide videos which are very easy and fast to make and get much more attention.

So yeah. Frag movies are dead.

It’s definitely a purely artistic pursuit, I was wondering if it was still possible after the release of CS2

Oh, honestly I've to say I don't know the answer. Did you try it out? I myself never used HLAE.
