Settings not saving in cs2

every new setting i make in cs2 it just resets when i restart the game. any idea how to fix this?

I need to bind console, fix crosshair gap, set messagemode and cl_teamid also every time on launch. Nothing works so far to keep the config from resetting: repairing of files, read-only config, disabling cloud saving, disabling overlay, host_writeconfig.

Also, the "d" key for right strafe sometimes stops working mid-game, which got me killed several times now.

How is this game worse in every aspect than csgo, except for the visuals? And even those can't be enjoyed on the maximum settings, because the game can't handle it.

Just make backups of the folders above if you want. Same for

...\Steam\userdata\YOURID\730\local\cfg

then add -autoconfig to your launch options to reset everything, launch the game, close the game and then create a new autoexec.cfg with all your settings in the correct folder

Doesn't work. The files in the csgo folder aren't even used by the game since the 26th of April.

Wdym doesn't work?! You literally execute every config from that folder. The game doesn't write anything there.
Your settings are saved in the userdata folder

If I say it doesn't work, I mean that by following your instructions, the problem with the 4 settings mentioned by me, still resetting themselves everytime I start the game, persists.

Are your files and/or folders still set to read-only? The game obviously can't save any of your settings if it isn't allowed to write any of your binds to file

-autoconfig in your launch options resets all configs the game uses to default (make backups first) so you should see changes

heya there, maybe its too late, but you should NOT have ANY commands from cs:go.
I was wondering how to fix that ♥♥♥♥ and I found out that deleting my autoexec with commands helps with this problem. You should write your commands right in the game and it should save all of them. If its not, try to do it with steam cloud, good luck mate

Edit: theres also maybe trouble because of limited test in cs2 DLC. To turn it off, you should go to the properties and go DLC and turn off this.

It's been 2 days since my crosshair changed by itself, and the console was disabled; I think it is not considered my old autoexec

i think i know how to fix it.

here :

1.better play other game.
CS2 already full cheater. (their slogan, "dis is da wey". so theres no way to stop cheater. also the dev even dont care about the game anymore.)
laggy server.
cheapo case.
unbalance teammate gameplay.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ point.

waste time.
