CS2 Servers down in Australia?

I'm searching for a game with a party and constantly keep getting the "Failed to locate official game servers with acceptable ping" prompt. Is anyone else having this issue?

In NZ, switching download servers from NZ to Brisbane does work. Would play DM and get upwards of 150. ONce I switched went to 30ish... valve still needs to fix their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game though

i did same and it worked after bein in american gamesxs all day, i used sydney tho

I switched from Sydney to Brisbane, didn't work, but when I switch back to Sydney it works (worked for 2 days) Got the issue again today, switched to Brisbane and back to Sydney and it worked. Looks like I gotta just keep switching until it works?

yes that is what I have been doing, you have to keep toggling it when it throws the warning for matchmaking. Annoying but this seems to be the band-aid solution right now.

Whichever region is working for you, sydney, brisbane whatever - you just need to toggle it everytime matchmaking bugs out.

There a fix for it just test it. Go to steam, settings, download change server. Sydney server is cooked right now change to any other location well Melbourne fix for me

Still not fixed-From NZ and getting routed through Singapore, changed to Brisbon in download settings and has not fixed my issue

I'm not sure the download region thing really works, I think this issue just *sometimes* fixes itself for a time coincidentally around the time people decide to try and switch it. Doesn't feel like there's much we can do except wait until the issue magically disappears for a couple hours, then returns

Impossible to find a game with max 70 ping of I up it to 150 just get Singapore servers

without a doubt it works. For all 7 accounts it has instantly fixed the issue. Try changing to all the AU download regions.

Getting 151 ping. Totally unplayable. I'm in Auckland, NZ. Used to get around 25-30 ping until last week.

so over this had this problem almost all week get from work and just wanna ♥♥♥♥♥♥ play valve sucks

I'm in Perth, when I check console the game tries to locate best server, I get 300ms ping to SYD so it gives me Asian servers as a ping of 140+ms. Has anybody encountered this?
Ive tried:
reinstalling steam and cs 3 times
changing download location to every Australian one
changing profile location to Australia
changing ISPs
using VPNs
clearing cache, flushing DNS and all that crap
using software like "cs serverpicker" (which actually doesnt even find sydney server)
all other games work fine even valorant is fine

any help is greatly appreciated.

the way I fixed it was by closing CS then clicking go offline on steam and then go back online and reopen CS and it should be good
